Developing a Knowledge Management Model for Self-reliant Communities
This study aimed to develop a knowledge management (KM) model for self-reliant communities. The areas and focus groups were Ban Nam Kliang and Ban Lao Rat Phatthana, Amphoe Wapi Pathum, Changwat Maha Sarakham with 8 groups and 40 persons. Mixed research methodologies were used. Results: 1) the developed community organization KM model consisted of these stages: community preparation; building motivations, awareness, participation promotion, and building visions; making plans/developing team potentials; implementing/plans in practice and work development; and summary evaluation. 2) Every organization group generated community knowledge managers. There were KM operations comprising: building, classifying, storing, implementing, sharing, and evaluating knowledge. 3) The focus groups showed their satisfaction with work operation as a whole at a high level. And 4) The factors of KM success of the community organizations included: enthusiasm about learning, leadership of the researcher and participants, participatory work climate, action learning, and work mechanisms (community organization KM centers)
Developing the Community Participation-Based Student Care System for a Small School
This research was aimed to: 1) study current contexts, problems, and needs for student care system for a small school; 2) develop a community participation-based student care system for a small school; and 3) study the benefits students can gain from a community participation-based student care system for a small school. A total of 52 participants in the study included a research team of Ban Khum Kham school and a research team of Ban Phraw Nue school. The research team of Ban Khum Kham school consisted of a school director, 5 teachers, 2 representatives for an educational institution, 8 representatives for parents, 6 representatives for students, and 2 representatives for villagers, totally 24 participants and the research team of Ban Phraw Nue school comprised a school director, 9 teachers, 4 representatives for an educational institution, 8 representatives for parents, 6 representatives for students, and 2 representatives for villagers, totally 28 participants. The study was conducted through a participatory action research procedure. It was found that 1) most parents were farmers and they brought up their children based on the conduct of moral reasoning. When staying home, most students did the reading and homework as well as the chores as their routines and responsibilities. Most parents had positive opinion and attitude towards schools. The problems about running the school project on developing the student care system were a lack of continual co-ordinations between schools and communities, parents hardly participating in school activities which were organized by teachers only, and students having no chance to give any ideas. The needs for developing the student care system concerned the community’s needs in volunteering being a committee and cooperating in solving student’s problems in every aspect; 2) developing the community participation-based student care system for a small school consisted of 7 stages: (1) home-visiting and data surveying with community coordination, (2) analyzing data with community coordination, (3) separating students into individuals with community coordination, (4) organizing projects, supporting activities, and problem-solving with community coordination, (5) running projects with community coordination, (6) summarizing the project assessment results with community coordination, and (7) student’s home-revisiting with community coordination; 3) according to the benefits students gained from the community participation-based student care system for a small school, it was found that student’s learning achievement got increased in terms of learning and abilities. As for physical and mental health and behaviors, students got improved and for student’ s family, economic status, and protection, students received more warmth and care from their parents. Inclusive health of physical, social and intellectual
development is an appropriate plan of human development
and raises the quality of life in all communities. The
purpose of this is research is to 1) Identify key leaders in
rural communities at a village and sub-district level to drive
the ongoing research study with the goal to achieve good
community health in all dimensions. 2) To have the participants
and researchers identify the key elements and indicators of the
health issues that are most important to each community. The
developed model is in accordance with Participatory Action
Research and the procedures are flexible and the development
plans of phase 1 can be extended to other communities
and backgrounds. The resulting health indicators provided
a valuable database that will be applied in future community
health development programs in Thailand
Development of Innovative Community for Self-Reliance through Sufficiency Economy
Inclusive development of innovation community and
self-reliance in knowledge nagement, there are two stories
about development of innovative community for self-reliance
in knowledge management. The purposees of this research
are to 1) To study current situation and needs of innovative
community for self-reliance reliance through Sufficiency
Economy. 2) To develop the model of innovative community
for self-reliance through Sufficiency Economy. 3) To try out
the model of innovative community for self-reliance through
Sufficiency Economy. 4) To study the effect of model of
innovative community for self-reliance through Sufficiency
Economy. 5) To develop the indicators of success in innovative
community for self-reliance through Sufficiency Economy. In
one, about moving knowledge, study of current situation for
information and data around, participatory planning, doing
through action and improve, conclusion of implementation,
and sharing. In two, approach in action learning include,
establishment of challenge problem, participatory plan,
practice base, conclusion and reflection, and sharing.
They develop innovative community for self-reliance with
Participatory Action Research (PAR); their team prepare, study of current situation, participatory planning, doing through action and improve to get
knowledge, conclude and reflect and sharing. In this study Sufficiency Eeconomy
is interconnected to nature and human development since it specifies that a man
is the centre to be able to gain a good quality of life but not to achieve richness.
Furthermore, the philosophy of Sufficiency Economy in the permanence is the
core thinling by understanding stability of human and enhancing ability of such
human to develop their capability which is necessary all well ; 1) The research
team want to collaborate in development by cooperating in determining the model
scheme of community for self-development in village level whith was the village
innovation, devlopmentak plan for quality of life focusing on learning center.
2) The devlopment model of innovative community development for self-reliant
through Sufficiency Economy, was evaluate the possibility, approriateness, and
usefuluess included 6 phases of participatory Action Research as 18 activities for
innovative community development for self-reliance. 3) The development model
usage innovative community development for self-relence through Sufficiency
Economy in “high” level by experts from through 6 steps of knowledge
management in to activity management of implementation in development
